Things to know about obtaining your Washington State nursing license:
- License turnaround is 8 – 10 weeks
- Temp license takes 2 -3 weeks and is good for 6 months
- We’ll assist you with your application fee
- You’ll need to have completed seven hours of HIV-AIDS education – which may include self-study, courses or formal training.
- Once your application is received, you must provide fingerprints
- Washington State is NURSYS participating
- You’ll be required to submit fingerprints for the background check and you must obtain your fingerprints on the Department of Health fingerprint card
